Fine Split Stitch Open Coil Basket - Spinning Star

This handwoven Tohono O'odham round basket is by Virginia Ramon and measures approximately 6.5 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches deep.

Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert for basket weaving. The interior green coils (warp) are native Beargrass and the white stitches (weft) woven around the coils are sun-bleached Soaptree Yucca.
