Akita Dog Portrait in Oil

Note: This painting is shown as a portfolio example. The price listed reflects my most affordable entry point for a custom digital pet portrait. Original oil portraits are quoted individually based on size and detail.

This  Akita custom oil portrait was created from client-provided photos to capture a relaxed, sun-kissed moment with a charming feel. I focused on the Akita’s expressive eyes, while using soft brushwork and warm tones to reflect the calm atmosphere of the setting.

The background was kept light and painterly, allowing the subject to remain the focal point while still evoking a sense of place. This painting style translates beautifully to canvas prints, framed artwork, and personalized keepsakes.

How Your Portrait Is Created

Digital Sketch & Approval
Each commission begins with a hand-painted digital sketch for your review. This stage allows adjustments to composition, expression, lighting, and overall mood before final work begins.

Final Artwork Creation
Once approved, the portrait is completed according to your chosen finish:

• Digital Painting on Canvas — professionally printed, ready to hang
• Hand-Painted Oil on Canvas — traditional oil painting with rich texture and depth

Finishing Touches
Oil paintings receive protective varnish, and all canvases include finished edges and hanging hardware. Progress images are shared throughout, and minor refinements can be requested before finalization.
